Of all the STEM games I pull out in my Game School, Suspend is by far my favorite to play. This is because, as the name suggests, it is so suspenseful! You and everyone at the table will be holding your breath as you add your various sized rods to the structure in the middle of the table. Simply roll the die and place that color rod on the structure, using only one hand. The goal? To get rid of all your rods. But be careful, if any rods fall while you are taking your turn, you have to keep them.
While playing suspend you are learning about balance, weight, and momentum while working on patience, risk-assessment, and hand-eye coordination. For younger children, Suspend also helps with color recognition. Everyone I have played this game with LOVES it! You can purchase a copy of Suspend on Amazon.
